Licuanan-Aquino tandem sizzles in Thirsty b'minton

Leo Licuanan and Ramon Aquino proved to be a perfect combination as they went on to win the men's doubles B crown of the 2nd Thirsty Badminton Cup last Sunday at the Metrosports Badminton Club in Salinas Drive Brgy. Lahug, this city.
Licuanan and Aquino easily dispatched Jewelson Siona and Jesseppi Cuaresma in their one-sided finals, 15-2, 15-4 to seize the championship.
Guelbert Abellana and Galy Trocio, on the other hand, wound up third place.
In the men's doubles class C, Gerry Malixi and Felix Tan edged out Bernard Sua and Ian De Asis to capture the title, while Anthony Ngo and Russel Reyes finished third.
Ryan Salacut and Joel Villarosa grabbed the class D title followed by Chad Luspo and Michael Godinez. Unnie Abad and John Flores settled for third place honors.
The tandem of Pedro Tampos and Nepthalie Ferrer ruled bracket E, while Fred Abigay and Ryan Cabahug landed at second. The third place honors went to Christopher Lao and Jessie Sabares.
Fennie Tan and Emily Reyes claimed the women's doubles D tiara after defeating Rocelyn Sucalit and Dailet Yares. Maricon Gumba and Joy Vergara settled for third.
Doris Tagle and Grace Alagao won the women's doubles E tiara. Sweet Michelle and Jaja Banzon wound up second, while Grace and Leah de la Cerna collared the third place trophy.
