CPPO seizes P937K shabu

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) confiscated 137.93 grams of suspected shabu valued at an estimated P937,924 and arrested 39 drug suspects in 32 anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Cebu Province from July 20 to 26, 2026.

According to the CPPO's weekly accomplishment report, the weeklong operations also led to the filing of 65 criminal cases.

During the same period, police also arrested 30 wanted persons, including six listed as most wanted persons and 24 classified as other wanted persons, after serving 32 warrants of arrest in 30 separate operations.

In its campaign against loose firearms, the CPPO arrested five individuals, confiscated five firearms, recovered one explosive, and received the voluntary surrender of three firearms through Oplan Katok.

Meanwhile, 26 anti-illegal gambling operations resulted in the arrest of 32 individuals, the filing of 26 criminal cases, and the confiscation of P8,554 in gambling bets.

The CPPO likewise intensified its enforcement of local ordinances, conducting 1,855 operations during the week, an increase from the 1,737 operations recorded in the previous reporting period.

These operations resulted in 2,905 violators being fined, 1,151 receiving warnings, and the collection of P1.126 million in penalties.

The CPPO said it will continue to carry out intelligence-driven law enforcement operations to sustain its campaign against criminality and maintain peace and order throughout Cebu Province. — (FREEMAN)
