MANILA, Philippines — For refusing to lend her makeup kit, a 14-year-old Grade 8 student of a public school in Parañaque was allegedly stabbed dead by her male classmate on Wednesday.

The victim died from four stab wounds at the Ospital ng Parañaque, according to police.

Investigation showed that the victim, a student at Moonwalk National High School, earlier confided to her mother that she was receiving death threats.

“Because she refused to lend the suspect her makeup kit,” Col. Eric Llagas Angustia, Parañaque police assistant chief for operations, told The STAR when asked about the motive.

Angustia said the 14-yearold suspect was turned over to social welfare workers.

The suspect told police that he had been bullied by his classmates, including the victim.

The suspect took a 10-inch kitchen knife from his bag and stabbed the victim, probers said.

The school said it is mourning the student’s killing, which it described as an “isolated case.”
