Alegado praises success of festival

CEBU, Philippines — The Municipality of Consolacion recently celebrated its 105th founding anniversary with the Sarok Festival.

Consolacion Mayor Teresa  Nene  Alegado praised the event as a great success despite the rain, expressing gratitude to all participants and attendees.

Mayor Alegado highlighted the Sarok as a symbol of the town's resilience, hard work, and creativity.

In her State of the Town Address, she emphasized that promoting local festivals, crafts, and heritage sites boosts the economy and fosters cultural appreciation.
