CEBU, Philippines — Even after the Palarong Pambansa 2024 has officially ended last Tuesday, the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will remain on high alert until all delegates have safely returned home.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Janette Rafter, Deputy Director for Operations at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said that normal operations will resume following the departure of all delegates, with billeting security maintained until yesterday, though some will remain until today due to their flight schedules.

We still assure your safety and security within the billeting areas and overall the Cebu City because we still have the deployment, amo nang ihatag sa atong mga stations around Cebu City kay para makapauli napud ni atong mga augmented personnel, said Rafter.

CCPO also hopes that the delegates and visitors had an enjoyable stay and a great experience in Cebu City, congratulating everyone for their commendable efforts, not just the winners.

During the post-deployment briefing, CCPO Director Ireneo Dalogdog extended his gratitude to the augmented personnel from Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, Mandaue City Police Office, Cebu Police Provincial Office, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB).

Rafter also mentioned that Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, the regional director of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 and task force commander of Palaro 2024, expressed his gratitude to all policemen and agencies who helped secure the safety and security of all contingents.

Atong pasalamat diha sa mga kapolisan nato Dako kaayo namog pasalamat sa kanunay na suporta nga gihatag ninyo diri sa Cebu City and we assure you that we also have the same support kung kamo pud usab ang manginahanglan kanamo,  Rafter added.

Today, Dalogdog will be hosting a boodle fight, for all augmented personnel, especially those from outside Cebu City, as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication, commitment, and sacrifices. — /ATO (FREEMAN)
