Man found dead in Toledo City
CEBU, Philippines — A man was found dead in Sitio Anislag, Barangay Canlumampao, Toledo City, yesterday at 5 a.m.
The victim was identified by his partner as Rene Labrador Roble, 32, a resident of Barangay Puting Bato Proper, Toledo City.
According to the Toledo City Police Station, last Saturday night after the victim had dinner, he left telling his partner that he had to meet a friend who was in the said area.
He was later found dead with a wound at the back of the head, investigators aren’t yet sure what was used to attack him.
The people living in the area said that they heard a loud sound, but could also not definitely say it was a gunshot, and no bullet casings were recovered from the area where the victim was found.
Police are now looking at drugs or personal grudge as the motive behind the incident as the victim was said to have been involved in illegal drugs. (CEBU NEWS)
