Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu City government is set to double the cash incentives for the most outstanding rank-and-file employees in this year’s Kakugi Awards on May 1, 2024.

The city’s Human Resource Development Office announced through the city’s Sugboanon Channel that from ?5,000 the Programs on Awards and Incentives Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee had given the nod to doubling it this year, making it ?10,000 for each awardee.

Aside from that, from 121, there will be 122 of awardees this year, symbolic of the 122nd Labor Day celebration in the country.

Along with this, the PIO announced that the deadline for the submission of nominees will be tomorrow (March 26). This is to give the evaluation team ample time to go over the employees’ performances.

Aside from the PRAISE and screening committee, there will also be a selection committee independent from the city government to ensure fairness.

Qualified for this award are those with salary grade 1 to 5 in all departments of the city government.

The HRDO said the Kakugi Awards was conceptualized by Mayor Michael Rama to ensure that all deserving employees in City Hall, including the rank-and-file, will be duly recognized.

“Ang Kakugi Awards gi-conceptualize sa atong pinalanggang mayor kay ganahan man g’yud si mayor nga ang tanang outstanding employees nga mga deserving employees ato gyud na silang tagaan og awards nga mas important pa’s kwarta,” HRDO head Henry Tomalabcad said. (CEBU NEWS)
