Worn-out subdivision road repaired

CEBU, Philippines — Mandaue City Lone District Representative Emmarie Ouano-Dizon led the onsite visit of the P20 million worth of asphalting project at Greenhills Subdivision in Barangay Casuntingan.

The one kilometer road project within the subdivision has been dilapidated for so many years and Ouano-Dizon said that the primary objective of the project is to rehabilitate and stabilize the subdivision s road network, which are also access roads to other subdivision, puroks and sitios in the said barangay that has a population of 16,846 as of 2020 census.

The residents  dream of having the dilapidated roads repaired in their subdivision has been fulfilled with the rehabilitation and asphalt laying of 90 percent of their roads within and surrounding the area which is facilitated by Ouano-Dizon.

Ouano-Dizon said that construction which was started only last December 22 is scheduled to be completed within the week.

Greenhills Subdivision Homeowners Association which is composed of 500 houses more or less headed by its president, Edward Yu, welcomed and appreciated the legislator who made an onsite visit to the ongoing road construction on Friday.

Ouano Dizon together with DPWH 6th District officials headed by project engineer, Engr. Rommel Beduya, and contractor, Engr. Anthony Tan, owner of AST Builders, during the onsite visit said the inspection was intended to make sure that the construction was on schedule and properly executed.

Yu said that for many years the government had not taken notice of the road s miserable condition until they requested the office of Ouano-Dizon, through Provincial Board Member Thadeo Jovito  Jonkie  Ouano and Opao Barangay Captain Nixon  Jojo  Dizon.

Joining the said onsite visit were Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, Usec. Terence Calatrava, Ouano and Mandaue City Councilors, Anjong Ouano Icalina, Ting Sol Cabahug and Atty. Joel Seno, Barangay Councilor Yenyen Ceniza and former Casuntingan barangay captain Ben Basiga.

Greenhills HOA officer Robert Callero who personally visited Ouano-Dizon s office for their request thanked her for taking immediate action of their road problem.

On the other hand, Greenhills HOA past president Cora Gellojani, said they are fortunate to have the congresswoman who gives credence to their request.
