Barangay San Nicolas Proper opens medical services to non-residents
CEBU, Philippines — Barangay San Nicolas Proper in Cebu City has opened its health and dental services to non-residents.
Recently, re-elected barangay captain Clifford Jude Niñal announced the first baby born in their newly-opened birthing center.
Now, even pregnant mothers from outside San Nicolas Proper have enlisted themselves to avail of the free services offered in the said barangay.
Niñal said the latest list of those that have pre-registered for labor and delivery in their birthing center included a pregnant woman from Labangon.
“Okay ra gyud ta modawat bisan ug dili taga San Nicolas Proper..Basta dili lang first timer and dili complicated ang kahimtang sa pagbuntis sa bata…Kung naa man ganiy first-timer, kana na gyung emergency situation, kanang di na mada sa hospital kay kaanakon na gyud kaayo,” Niñal said.
The barangay also has its own ambulance on standby 24/7 in case of any emergency situation.
Aside from the birthing center, Niñal said even their dental clinic is open for everyone who wish to avail of some basic services.
However, they just have to check at the barangay hall for its schedule along with the other medical services that the barangay health center may offer to the public. — (FREEMAN)
