CPPO stations chiefs told to unify frats

Romeo D. Marantal - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu Police Provincial Office has issued a directive to all chiefs of police in the province to unite fraternities to prevent the recurrence of the incident in the City of Bogo.

At least two individuals aged 16 and 26 years old were injured in the city after a group of men said to be members of a gang allegedly mauled them.

Following the incident, CPPO director, Police Colonel Percival Zorilla, ordered the identification of those individuals who caused the trouble.

He also issued a directive to his members to coordinate with the barangays, especially those holding activities such as disco so that the police can be deployed for security.

“I-encourage nato sila nga be part of the community para mahimong peaceful ang usa ka barangay ug usa ka munisipyo kay og sila magdala og gubot dili magdugay madakpan sila, magkakaso sila, mapriso sila,” said Zorilla.

Zorilla said that those who create trouble would be punished accordingly. —  (FREEMAN)
