Businessman shot dead in Danao City

CEBU, Philippines — A businessman engaged in soft drinks retail died after being shot by an unknown assailant in Danao City at around 4:55 p.m. Monday.

The victim was identified as Gino Pasana Durano, 45 years old.

According to witnesses, a burst of gunshots were heard in the area. When they located the source of the gunshots, they found Durano lying on the ground lifeless.

They immediately reported the incident to the police community precinct in Barangay Lawaan, Danao City.

The perpetrator is not yet identified but there are individuals being pursued by the police as persons of interest. — GMR (FREEMAN)
