Bogo City to give BHWs P800 monthly stipend
CEBU, Philippines — Barangay health workers in Bogo City are set to get P800 honorarium after the City Council passed an ordinance granting their barangay health frontliners a monthly stipend.
The ordinance authored by Vice Mayor Maria Cielo Martinez is now waiting for the approval of the mayor before it will take effect after 15 days upon signing.
Under the said ordinance barangay health workers will receive a monthly honorarium of "not more than P800".
On its official Facebook page, the City Government of Bogo announced that the honorarium is the city’s way of thanking the barangay health workers for their services.
On the same facebook page, it also announced the city council’s approval of a resolution giving honorarium to purok presidents in the city. It did not, however, mention how much will be given to them.
/FPL (FREEMAN)
