Woman caught selling 'shabu'

CEBU, Philippines - A woman was arrested early Monday evening after she was caught transacting illegal drugs at a fast food outlet in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.

Sharon Hernandez Zapanta, 38, a resident of Barangay Labangon was nabbed in a buy-bust operation following a tip received by police from an informant.

Police operatives, led by Police Senior Inspector Alvin Llamedo and Police Inspector Timoteo Lopez Bañoz from Punta Police Station, seized one medium heated pack of suspected shabu from Zapanta inside the fast food outlet after she was caught.

In the investigation conducted, Zapanta revealed that she has been conducting illegal drug transactions at the fast food outlet for quite some time, meeting her customers from neighboring places there.

Zapanta is now detained at the Punta Police Station while the seized drugs were brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 7 for laboratory examination. — Aeddy Rose A. Sarangsang, (FREEMAN)
