Infant taken, raped in Carcar City

CEBU, Philippines - A four-month-old baby was found bleeding in her private part in an apparent case of rape in Barangay Perrelos, Carcar City.

According to Police Officer 2 Regie Amad of Carcar City Police Station, a  neighbor found the baby crying under a coconut tree in the area around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

The baby's mother rushed to the area and positively identified the baby as hers. She told the police she was unaware that her baby had been taken.

At the hospital, a doctor later confirmed bleeding in the baby's private parts. Carcar City police are still doing a follow-up investigation to identify the culprit. (FREEMAN)
