4 nabbed for drugs in Carreta
CEBU, Philippines - Four men, including an alleged ex-convict and two teenagers, were arrested last Sunday for allegedly possessing shabu in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
Arrested were a 17-year-old minor, Kenneth Riseo, 19; Jerum Marimon, 20; and Christian Ruiz, 22, allegedly an ex-convict.
All the four are residents of Sitio Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Carreta.
Police Officer 1 Alfred Talaboc of the Mabolo Police Station said that while the police were having a follow-up operation in the area to go after a group allegedly involved in robbery, they reportedly chanced upon the four who were allegedly repacking suspected shabu.
Talaboc said they saw Riseo who was allegedly repacking shabu.
Confiscated from Riseo were six pieces of small heat-sealed sachet of shabu, an empty transparent pack containing traces of shabu, and drug paraphernalia such as scissors, forceps, funnel, clipper, lighter, tinfoil and rolled tissue.
Two pieces of small heat-sealed sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia were seized from the minor Jun-Jun.
Ruiz and Marimon were also caught in the act of preparing drug paraphernalia, such as tinfoil and lighter.
The police also recovered a Batangas knife from Ruiz.
The suspects are currently detained at the Mabolo Police Station and will be charged according to the evidence seized from them. (FREEMAN)
