"We can also conduct emergency classes with the blessings of the parents, pagtugot sa mga ginikanan nga mag-Saturday or add up one hour each day para maka-come up og five hours for five days," Noveras said.
Talisay City Mayor Eduardo Gullas ordered the suspension of classes yesterday due to typhoon Auring. Last November 24 classes were also suspended because of typhoon Marce.
"Another taplunonon, dili ta ka-blame nga managana kay although hinay ang hangin nagdala og uwan nga makaapekto gyud sa ato. Pwede baha, pwede landslide dili nalang mopasagad nga magsige klase kay later on naa raba ta'y kabukiran sa Talisay basin naa unya madisgrasya," she said.
She said they can either hold makeup classes on Saturdays or extend one hour everyday until the missing hours are covered. Noveras said they can also delay the summer vacation until the requirement of the minimum hours is met.
Aside from the suspension of classes, the city government also declared a half-day work yesterday due to typhoon Auring. But key offices like the City Social Welfare Development and Development and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office were open. (FREEMAN)
