Sylvestre Lagura, 52, was rushed to the hospital but did not make it after sustaining gunshot wounds to different parts of his body.
Police initial investigation revealed that the victim was with his live-in partner and daughter in Lagura’s Nissan Pickup with plate number JCZ 313 when the incident took place.
As they were pulling up outside their house, the three suspects who were waiting for them by the roadside suddenly fired into the windshield, hitting Lagura on different parts of his body.
Based on the account of Lagura’s live-in partner, Leonora Igor, 52, one of the suspects opened the door of the vehicle and demanded them to hand over their bags and jewelry.
The suspects then fled while Igor and her daughter escaped unhurt.
The suspects were able to cart away two cellular phones worth P5,000 each, P25,000 in cash, checks worth a total of P18,000, and pieces of jewelry with total estimated worth over P120, 000.
