2 men indicted for drugs

CEBU, Philippines – Two suspected drug pushers were indicted for possession of more than 200 grams of dangerous drugs.

Assistant city prosecutor Alex Gabud recommended no bail for Marvin Daan Cuizon, 22, resident of Barangay Suba, Cebu City and French Villanueva, 22, of Barangay Pasil, for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

The accused were arrested by the members of the Mabolo Police Station during a checkpoint at S. Osmeña Street, North Reclamation Area in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City.

PO2 Joel Vergara said that the accused tried to evade the checkpoint but were eventually arrested. The police seized 213.70 grams of shabu. —/FPL (FREEMAN)
