Daughter allowed as ‘drug lord’s’ GF: Cops eye child abuse raps vs minor’s mom

Bryner L. Diaz - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The police are set to file charges against the mother of the rescued 17-year-old half-German during an anti-drug operation in Toledo City Sunday afternoon for allegedly consenting to the relationship between her daughter and an alleged drug lord.

The man, identified as Wilson Villanueva, who was in his 40s, succumbed to multiple gunshot would he suffered allegedly after trying to draw out a machine pistol while being arrested by anti-illegal drug operatives of the Cebu Police Provincial Office headquarters.

Senior Superintendent Noel Gillamac, CPPO director, said they are looking at child abuse as a possible case to file against the woman, whose house was allegedly also used as a drug den.

Gillamac said he tasked investigators to look into the possible liability of the mother and to subsequently file a case against her.

Meanwhile, the father of the rescued minor visited the Provincial Intelligence Branch office yesterday morning to see his daughter.

He said he lost contact with the mother and daughter after he went home to Germany last year and he only came back to the Philippines last Thursday to file an annulment case.

“I came here last Thursday to check my house and to file (an) annulment case but my lawyer told me that I have to stay longer and spend at least P200,000 so I say forget about it. I’m no longer interested,” he said.

He said he did not know what his wife was doing in the Philippines during his one-year absence and that he was shocked to know that his house was possibly used as a drug den.

He also explained why he left the country and did not establish contact with his wife and daughter.

“She’s looking for a younger guy because I am already 70, so I packed my things and went to Germany,” said the foreign national.

He said he could not also believe that his wife “consented” to the relationship between Villanueva and their daughter, and praised the police for rescuing his daughter.

“The police are very good,” he said while giving a thumbs up.

He, however, said he does not know what to do with her daughter as she objected to being brought to Germany to be with an older sister.

“The oldest is a papa’s girl and the youngest is a mama’s girl…(who) does not like to go to Germany,” he added.

His daughter was rescued by Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group operatives after a buy-bust operation in the German’s house in Barangay Tubod, Toledo City.

Four people, including the mother of the rescued minor, were taken into police custody after the operation.  (FREEMAN)
