Greco Sanchez’s car “stolen” inside Capitol compound
CEBU, Philippines - A brand new vehicle owned by the brother of Provincial Board Member Grecilda Sanchez was reportedly stolen inside the Capitol compound yesterday noon.
Leodegreco “Greco” Sanchez told reporters that he was meeting with PB Sanchez and their other sister, Gerlyda Sanchez-Spiller, inside the Legislative building when the “carnapping” incident happened.
At around 12 noon, Greco went out the building only to find out that his Ford Ranger parked just a few meters away was already gone.
Security guards were detailed near the parking space but the crime still went unnoticed and left no traces.
“Nahibulong ko nganong naingon ana dali ra nakuha. Wala man poy forced entry,” Greco said.
Since the vehicle was new, it only had a conduction sticker with the number 0261.
Board member Sanchez asked the Capitol’s security unit to review the footage of the closed-circuit television camera in the area.
She also reported the incident to Police Regional Office-7 director Prudencio Bañas to have the vehicle declared carnapped. (FREEMAN)
