Nigerian to be deported after court resolves case
CEBU, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration has issued a deportation order against a Nigerian national who was accused of assaulting a police officer sexually.
“Naalarma gyud si Commissioner sa maong balita. That’s why he issued a deportation order against the Nigerian national,” said BI-7 alien control officer Casimiro Madarang III.
The deportation order was issued by BI Commissioner Siegfred Mison yesterday and Madarang was directed to take custody of Eze Lloyd Chukwuemelie.
The order stated that Chukwuemelie has to be deported for being a “risk to public interest” (undesirable).
Madarang explained that once the charges against Chukwuemelie are filed – grave oral defamation, acts of lasciviousness and unjust vexation – BI 7 will take custody of him immediately after he posts bail.
Once a decision is handed down, that’s the time Chukwuemelie will be deported.
“Inig human ana niya og pyansa, immediately kami na ang mo priso niya samtang padayon ang hearing sa iyang criminal case,” Madarang said.
Yesterday, the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office elevated charges against Chukwuemelie to court and recommended a P6,000 bail.
“Absorb sa slander ang unjust vexation,” said Prosecutor Mary Ann Castro. She said the police officer was not on official duty at that time to merit the filing of a direct assault case.
BI also included Chukwuemelie on their watchlist, which means he cannot leave the country while his case is pending.
Madarang said that contrary to the name given by the accused as Ghukmelie Ezreal, the latter said this is usually done by some foreigners not to tell their real names especially when arrested.
“Ang iyaha gyud pangalan kay Eze Lloyd Chukwuemelie. We have seen it sa among data base as well as sa iyang passport. Kasagaran di gyud ni mohatag sa ilang tinud-anay ang mga foreigners labi na madakpan, aron inig post nila og bail, maglisud mi og gukod nila kay lisud makit-an,” Madarang said.
Chukwuemelie was arrested after a police officer accused him of forcing him to engage in fellatio inside the men’s comfort room in a mall in Cebu City last Monday.
The 30-year-old Chukwuemelie even called the 54-year-old police officer and idiot and a monkey, after the cop refused the invitation.
The policeman said he and his family were at the mall to unwind and when he went to the comfort room, Chukwuemelie was already there.
While he was urinating, the police officer said he was shocked to see the accused beside him with his jeans unzipped. Chukwuemelie allegedly tried to grab him but he was able to evade. When he asked what Chukwuemelie was doing, the latter cursed him and called him “idiot” and “monkey.”
The police tried to arrest the accused but failed after the latter was able to break away from his grip. He then called for assistance and Chukwuemelie was arrested by the mall’s security personnel. — (FREEMAN)
