Electrician killed after being stabbed and bludgeoned
CEBU, Philippines - An electrician died after he was stabbed and smashed on the head by a construction worker in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City Friday afternoon.
Roque Espina, 52, died of stabbed wounds to the neck and chest allegedly perpetrated by his neighbor and co-worker Mark Anthony Rico, 36.
Based on the testimony of Wilma Sirad, Espina was doing electrical works at the house owned by Maidu Sanchez that was being constructed when Rico climbed up through a ladder, approached the victim and suddenly stabbed him using a kitchen knife.
Espina was hit in the back of his neck, causing him to fall down.
