Hubby who came home drunk stabbed by wife

CEBU, Philippines - A 20-year-old man landed in the hospital after he was stabbed by his wife allegedly for coming home drunk in Barangay Cadulawan, Talisay City last Friday.

Marcon Pasilan, 20, was wounded in his stomach after he was stabbed by his wife Jenny Pasilan, 22.

Police investigation shows the victim had a drinking session with friends prior to the incident.

Already drunk, he went home and was confronted by his wife when he arrived.

The two engaged in a heated argument, during which the wife managed to get a knife and stabbed her husband in the stomach.

The victim was brought to Talisay District Hospital but was transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for further medication.

He is now in safe condition while his wife reportedly fled after the incident and is now being hunted down by the police.

Meanwhile, a man reportedly hanged himself after arguing with his wife Friday night in Barangay Sambag, Bogo City.

Edwin Pedroza was allegedly drunk when he committed suicide.

The victim was found by his minor-aged nephew hanging from a mangrove tree meters away from his residence.

As per investigation, Pedroza, allegedly drunk, went out of the house after having an argument with his wife.

He was brought to Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The post-mortem examination showed that there was no foul play in the victim’s death.

Pedroza had allegedly attempted to commit suicide several times before. —NSA (FREEMAN)
