CEBU, Philippines - A pawnshop lost at least P500,000 worth of jewelry to three unidentified robbers in Mandaue City yesterday afternoon.
Two of the robbers barged into the Palawan Pawnshop branch in Sitio Liong, Barangay Alang-alang at 1:20 p.m. and immediately disarmed security guard Ronnie Sabrido, 41, of Carmen, Cebu while one served as lookout.

Senior Inspector Jimmy Fortes, chief of the Centro Police Station, said one of the robbers broke the glass showcase where the pieces of jewelry were displayed. The robbers then took all the jewelry and placed inside a bag before fleeing on board a waiting motorcycle.
The Kawasaki Fury motorcycle used a getaway vehicle is sporting a temporary plate number 01016.
Fortes said the robbers left the tire wrench used in breaking the showcase.
"Di ra man kaayo grabe ang pagkabuak sa showcase, igo ra sad nga mahakop nila og kuha ang mga jewelry ug gibilin ra nila ang tire wrench nga duna pay tatak nga ila to'ng napalit sa "Kakeng Department Store," Fortes said.
Fortes said they will review the footage from the CCTV camera to identify the identity of the robbers. – (FREEMAN)
