CEBU, Philippines - A fire hit a warehouse of a hardware store in Sitio Sangi, Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City Thusday night which damage was estimated at P500,000.

The warehouse reportedly had several pieces of lumber for the hardware store owned by Francis Chua of Dennison Enterprises.

Based on initial investigation, a ceiling fan overheated and might have been the cause of the fire, said FO3 Climaco Salisid of the Lapu-Lapu City Fire Department.

The fire alarm was received past 10 in the evening and fire trucks were immediately deployed.

The fire was controlled after 15 minutes.

Salisid said no one was hurt in the incident.—  Christell Fatima M. Tudtud/ATO (FREEMAN)
