Another agrivet store victimized by robbers
CEBU, Philippines - An agricultural veterinary (agrivet) store was robbed by four unidentified armed persons on board two different motorcycles taking away P25,000 cash past 6 p.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Aliwanay, Balamban town.
Initial investigation revealed that all four robbers arrived almost at the same time in front of the store.
One of the robbers wearing a helmet pointed a gun at Edwin Layon, 18, a utility worker, and then another robber pointed a gun at the cashier Hanneliel Fieldad, 30.
The robber who was pointing a gun at the cashier asked her to open the drawer and took the cash while the other two robbers went inside the store.
After the cash was taken, all four robbers casually walked out of the store.
Senior Police Officer 1 Jose Ranelito Villarino, chief investigator of the Balamban Police Station, said that the utility worker was able to identify the robber who pointed a gun at him.
Prior to the robbery, Villarino said that the utility worker noticed the robbers on board their motorcycles observing the store.
According to Villarino, the robbers are experts and may be part of a big robbery group based in the neighboring towns of Balamban.
“Suhito, hanas gyud. Daghan baya nag customer, paghuman og tulis nagsugat pa sila sa usa ka customer. Usa g’yud ni ka dako na nga grupo, kay naa nay high powered nga armas, sa lain nga lungsod ni nga namonitor namo,” Villarino said. — (FREEMAN)
