Love triangle eyed in Toledo murder
CEBU, Philippines - Police investigators are looking into love triangle or personal grudge as possible motive in the death of a man who was found beheaded and mutilated in Sitio Makatol, Barangay Biga, Toledo City last Sunday.
Toledo City police chief, Supt. Ricky Delilis, said that based on the information they have gathered, Alony Olasiman went to see his former live-in partner, Epifania Bajes, in Barangay Biga before he was found dead.
Delilis said they are now checking on the victim's personal background to see if he has enemies in the barangay. He said they have already information that can help solve the killing but refused to give further details.
"Naa nata nakuha nga mga information but nangita ta ug mga witnesses to support sa atong nakuha nga info," Delilis said.
Delilis said he already sent more personnel in the crime scene to help retrieve the missing head and his genitalia. The police official believes that the severed parts were thrown at the vicinity where the body was found.
"Kung makuha nato ang mga suspek possible mahibaloan nato kung asa ang ulo," Delelis said.
Though he did not give a time frame to solve the crime, Delilis vowed to give justice to the family of the victim.
Olasiman, of Barangay Carmelo, Tuburan, was recognized by his siblings because of the tattoo in his body and a "cyst" in his hand.— (FREEMAN)
