Man arrested after mooching sex worker

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - A man was arrested at the Cebu South Bus Terminal for possession of drug paraphernalia after a commercial sex worker, who he allegedly failed to pay for her service, reported to the police that he was bringing illegal drugs.

Herbert Alcontin, 37, of Barangay Sambag 2, was arrested after a 23-year-old commercial sex worker told police officers that he did not pay her after their intercourse.

Initial investigation revealed that the Alcontin hired the services of the victim and offered her P700.

They checked in at a lodge in Leon Kilat Street early morning and after their intercourse, the victim asked for the payment but the suspect declined.

Instead he allegedly offered her a pack of shabu but the victim insisted since she needs cash. The suspect got mad at her and they quarreled inside the room.

The girl then went out of the room and called for police assistance. She went to Carbon Police Station and told them what had happened prompting police officers to respond.

When they reached the lodge, the clerk told them that he already went out and was heading to the terminal.

The police officers, together with the victim, went to the terminal and caught up with Alcontin.

When they frisked Alcontin, the police found a broken improvised tooter and rubber assembly but they were not able to recover any drugs.

He was immediately brought to the Carbon Police Station and was detained.  The police will be filing charges for possession of drug paraphernalia while the victim will be filing a case of estafa case against Alcontin. — Bryner L. Diaz/ATO (FREEMAN)
