Traffic rerouting for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day

CEBU, Philippines – The Cebu City Traffic Operations Management will be implementing rerouting schemes during the observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Day starting on October 30 until November 2 at the vicinity of the cemeteries in the city.

Pardo Cemetery

All vehicles will not be allowed to pass through Dela Victoria St. and Sabellano Road leading to Pardo Cemetery to give way to pedestrians who will pay homage to their departed loved ones. Designated parking area shall be at J. Tabura St. and at the offset bay along N. Bacalso Ave. fronting the church. Loading and unloading area shall also be along Tabura Street.

Labangon Cemetery

All vehicles from Katipunan St., shall pass A. Lopez St., left turn to Balaga St., to Labangon Cemetery, and those who are from the cemetery shall pass Balaga St., turn right to Tranza Road and then exit to Katipunan St. Designated parking area shall be on both sides along Katipunan St. Loading and unloading area shall be at Balagon or Balaga Road.

Calamba Cemetery

All vehicles going to Calamba Cemetery passing V. Rama Ave. shall remain as usual, only parking of vehicles will not be allowed near the cemetery along V. Rama Ave. Tartanillas and trisikads will not be allowed to pass V. Rama Ave. They shall turn right to Alcantara St., and back to their destination. Designated parking area will be at V. Rama Ave., from Quijano Compound up to B. Rodriguez St. except near the gate of the cemetery. Loading and unloading area shall be at V. Rama Avenue after Lucio Drive going to N. Bacalso Avenue.

Talamban Cemetery

All vehicles coming from downtown area passing Talamban proper shall proceed to Borbajo St., left turn to SOS St., and turn left or right to Miñoza St., then to their destination. All vehicles from Pit-os shall pass Miñoza St., to downtown proper. Designated parking area shall be at Miñoza St., from Borbajo St., while loading & unloading area shall be at the cemetery side along Miñoza Street.

CEMPARK Cemetery

All vehicles except trucks and trailer vans coming from downtown area passing Gov. Cuenco Ave., going to Cempark Cemetery shall always keep traveling at the rightmost side of the road and then turn right to J.Panis St. (the road leading to Cempark cemetery) and exit along the gate of A.S. Fortuna St. or exit gate along Orel St., to Mandaue City. Designated parking area shall be at the Gaisano Country Mall (Bowling Lane). Loading and unloading area shall be at J. Panis St. from gate of Cempark to Gov. Cuenco Avenue.

Old Lorega San Miguel, Carreta, Doña Pepang, Chinese, Ludo and Queen City Garden Cemeteries

Passenger vehicles beyond Mabolo shall turn left to Juan Luna Ave., turn right to S. Osmeña Ave., turn right to Gen. Maxilom Ave., to J.C. de Veyra St., to Juan Luna Ave., proceed to M.J. Cuenco Ave., and then to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

Passenger jeepneys coming from Consolacion, Lilo-an, Compostela, Danao, Carmen and MEPZA Lapu-Lapu City shall proceed to Urot St., then turn right to Cabahug St., to A. Soriano Ave., left turn to Juan Luna Ave., right turn to S. Osmeña Ave., right turn to Gen. Maxilom Ave., right turn to J.C. de Veyra St., left turn 6thSt., to North PUJ Terminal. Those who are from North PUJ Terminal shall right turn to 6th St., left turn to J.C. de Veyra St., to Juan Luna Ave., to A. Soriano Ave., and then to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

Passenger jeepneys from the South area passing Benedicto St., shall go straight to JC Veyra St., or turn right to Gen. Maxilom Ave. Extension, to S. Osmeña to their destination at SM City or North Bus Terminal.

Those who are coming from Urgello and Private passing Benedicto St., to Pier area shall turn right to Gen. Maxilom Extension, right turn to S. Osmeña Ave., and back to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

For passenger jeepneys coming from SM City Cebu, loading & unloading bay shall follow to Juan Luna Ave., U-turn at J.C. De Veyra St., follow Juan Luna Ave., to S. Osmeña Ave., then follow to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

Passenger jeepneys coming from South Bus Terminal with Route No. 02B shall follow to S. Osmeña Ave., turn left to T. Padilla Extn., to Benedicto St., to Gen. Maxilom Ave., Extn., to S. Osmeña Ave., to T. Padilla Extn., to MJ Cuenco Ave., and then to their usual route in going to their point of origin.

The designated parking area in Lorega San Miguel Cemetery shall be at the left side of Gen. Echavez Extension, while in going to the cemetery loading & unloading area shall be at the right side of the street.

For Carreta Cemetery, designated parking area shall be at Gen. Maxilom Ave. (at former Sacred Heart School), while loading and unloading area shall be near the gate of the said cemetery.

In addition, for Doña Pepang Cemetery, designated parking area shall be at M.J. Cuenco Ave., left side going to Gen. Maxilom Ave., and loading/unloading area shall be at the right side of M.J. Cuenco Ave., going to Gen. Maxilom Avenue.

For Ludo and Queen City Garden Cemetery, designated parking area shall be at the right side of Don Andres Soriano Ave., going to Juan Luna Ave., at Gaisano St., 6th Avenue and West 1 Road North 6 while loading and unloading area shall be at the left side of Andres Soriano Ave., going to Juan Luna Avenue.

While in Chinese Cemetery, Citom implemented "No Parking" policy in both sides of M.J. Cuenco Ave. and loading/unloading area shall be at the right side near the gate of Chinese cemetery going to Mactan road.

Citom advised motorists, drivers, and other road users to follow the traffic signs installed in the affected streets to minimize traffic congestion.  – /FPL (FREEMAN)
