CEBU, Philippines - Police have seized close to P200,000 worth of suspected shabu from a man who was caught repacking the illegal drugs inside his house during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ibo, Toledo City Monday night.

Suspect Ronnel Coronado no longer resisted when elements of the Provincial Intelligence Branch swooped down on him after he sold to them a pack of shabu worth P500 at past 9 p.m.

PIB chief Superintendent Rodolfo Albotra said the transaction was done inside Coronado’s house where he was seen repacking the illegal drugs.

Police recovered three large packs and 30 small packs of suspected shabu from the suspect.

Based on the Dangerous Drugs Board, the confiscated drugs had an estimated value of around P184,080.

Police also confiscated from the suspect a cellular phone that supposedly contained conversations with his drug clients and suppliers.

According to Albotra, the jobless suspect is a newbie in the illegal drug trade.

The PIB chief said they arranged a buy-bust operation against the suspect after confirming his illegal drug activities through surveillance.

The suspect is now detained at Consolacion Police Station and will be charged for selling and possessing dangerous drugs. — (FREEMAN)
