CEBU, Philippines - The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office - Cebu City will have a new chief starting this month.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources-7 has appointed forester Raul Pasoc effective September 5, Friday.
Pasoc replaced Anastacio Caballejo who was transferred to Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office - Cebu.
This is based on the special order number 2014-454 and 20-14455 September 4 signed by DENR undersecretary for Field Operations Demetrio Ignacio, Jr.

He rose from the rank starting as Forester 1 back in 1990 and was then promoted to Forest Management Specialist 11 in 2007.
The turnover ceremony, attended by more than 70 personnel, was led by DENR-7 Regional Executive Director Isabelo Montejo at the CENR office-Cebu City with regional technical directors for forest management services and land management services, Eduardo Inting and Wilfredo Lee, respectively.
During the turnover, Montejo said the reassignment of key officials in the region is consistent with the ongoing organizatio-nal structure of the department to improve the implementation of the various programs geared towards protecting, conserving, and preserving the environment and natural resources.
“Let us be critically serious in accomplishing what is expected from us especially on the national greening program, cadastral survey, geohazards mapping and assessment, and patent issuance as these are flagship programs of DENR Secretary Ramon JP Paje,” he said.
Pasoc, for his part, committed to do his best to lead the CENR office-Cebu City in accomplishing all its given tasks and targets especially on the highlighted flagship programs of the department. (FREEMAN)
