In cities of Carcar, Bogo Robbers prey on 2 collectors, school
CEBU, Philippines - Two collectors were robbed by four unidentified men who took their collections and motorcycle in Sitio Tan-awan, Guadalupe, Carcar City past 7 p.m. on Monday.
Glenn Gomez, 31, of Carcar City and Arnel Lorbe, 30, of Cebu City, both collectors of Casablanca Lending Investors, reported to the incident to the Carcar City police.
Initial investigation revealed that the victims were on their way to Carcar City from the towns of Barili and Dumanjug. But when they arrived at Sitio Tan-awan, four persons riding a motorcycle blocked them in the middle of the road.
The suspects were only described as medium built, 5’7” to 5’8”, and each wearing a helmet riding a Honda XRM motorcycle without plate number.
One of the robbers pointed a.45 cal. pistol at the victims and declared “hold-up” while the victims who were trembling in fear were not able to make a move.
The robbers took two mobile phones worth P25,000 and the Honda XRM with plate number 4458 GP that the victims were using.
The suspects fled away riding the “carnapped” motorcycle and the motorcycle that they used to block the victims.
Carcar City police is still conducting a follow up operation for possible identification of the suspects.
In Bogo City, Bogo City Central School lost a total of P45,000 worth of computers and accessories to unknown burglars 2 a.m. on Monday.
Investigation revealed that unknown persons gained entrance by destroying the wall of the computer room and then took away two computer monitors, one CPU and one keyboard.
The Bogo City police is still trying to determine the identity of the robbers. — (FREEMAN)
