3 ‘drug pushers’ arrested
CEBU, Philippines - Three suspected drug pushers in Cebu City were arrested Tuesday in separate police operations.
Karlo John Famador, 21, of Sitio Dita in Barangay Pulangbato, was arrested in Sitio Huyong-huyong, Barangay Bacayan by the joint operatives of the City Intelligence Branch and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during a buy-bust operation.
His companion, Justin Velasquez, 21, of Barangay Pit-os, was also arrested during the operation. Seized from them were 34 sachets of shabu worth P9,900 and a caliber .22 magnum revolver.
“Though ginagmay ra ang ma-dispose ani nga suspect pero usa ni siya sa mga noted drug personalities in Bacayan,” said CIB chief Romeo Santander.
Another suspected drug pusher, Riza Pardillo, 21, was also arrested in Magsaysay Street, Barangay Suba. Taboan Police Station chief, Senior Inspector Chuck Barandog, said that Pardillo is a noted drug pusher in the barangay. The police seized 20 small packs of shabu worth P10,000 from the suspect.
Separate complaints for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act have been filed yesterday before the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspects.— (FREEMAN)
