Palma prays for truth to come out on PDAF scam

CEBU, Philippines - “The truth will set us free,” said Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma on the ‘Napolist’ controversy.

Palma said his prayer is for the truth to be known especially that many lists are being revealed not knowing who are telling the truth.

“Sometimes we begin to doubt how much of these is machinations of those want others to be convicted, others not,” he said.

He added that those involved in the multi-billion peso pork barrel scam should be judged well.

“Kun tinuod nga many are involved let it be seen, and let it be judged… let people who are responsible accept the penalty and judgment for whatever faults they may have committed,” Palma said.

At least eight former and incumbent congressmen in Cebu are included in the list of legislators who supposedly benefitted from their pork barrel.

All of them, however, denied their involvement in the pork barrel scam. — (FREEMAN)
