CEBU, Philippines - Two persons died and two others injured including a four-year-old girl, in separate vehicular accidents in Ronda town and Naga City.

Felife Cuadero, 48, suffered severe head injury causing his immediate death while his wife, Norma and stepdaughter, Leah Relator, 4, suffered injuries in different parts of their bodies.

The motorcycle they were riding was figured in an accident along the national highway of Sitio Mohon, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Ronda past 2:00 p.m. Saturday.

The motorcycle reportedly without plate number was travelling home from Dumanjug town when the front tire deflated causing Felife to lose control and fell on the ground.

Due to the strong impact, victims were thrown off the road which caused them injuries.

“Kusog gyud ilang dagan kay lupad man gyud ang mga biktima,” said Ronda police station desk officer PO3 Pepo Ansag.

The victims were taken to the Barili District Hospital but Felife was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The two others were referred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City for further treatment.

Meanwhile, a 78-year-old elderly man died after he was hit by a speeding motorcycle when he was about to cross the national road of Barangay North Poblacion, Naga City last Friday evening.

Rolando Enanosa died along the way to VSMMC from South General Hospital, said Naga City police station desk officer PO2 Gilmer Noval.

Noval said that Honda XRM motorcycle (MC 8095) driven by Benjie Olis, 42, of San Fernando town, was travelling north direction when he hit Enanosa who suddenly crossed the road.

Olis surrendered and now detained at the Naga City police stockade pending filing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.— /GMR (FREEMAN)
