CEBU, Philippines - Two people were arrested in a buy bust operation and two more were caught for possession of illegal drugs in a separate police operation in the province.

Melvin Barbadillo alias “Pungkol”, 36, of sitio Lumbang, and Leonesa Duron, 49, of First Batch, all in Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion, were arrested after selling to a police poseur buyer two small packs of shabu.

PO1 Robert Escobia acted as a poseur buyer and asked Barbadillo to sell him two packs of shabu in exchange for the P200 buy bust money.

After Barbadillo handed over two small packs of shabu, police officers swarmed the suspect and arrested him including Duron who was present during the raid.

Aside from the subject, police also recovered from Duron two pieces of hand rolled tin foil, one disposable lighter, and P200 believed to be the proceeds of selling shabu.

The confiscated shabu was brought to PNP Crime Laboratory 7 for examinations while the suspects were detained at Consolacion Police Station pending the proper charges against them.

In Danao City, police arrested a 29-year-old man after he was caught in the act of selling shabu past 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Roel Rosales, resident of Barangay Taboc, Danao City, was observed by police officers to be discretely transacting the selling of shabu.

Police officers observed that he handed over something to a person who also handed over him some money.

Police then arrested Rosales and confiscated two small packs of shabu from his possession.

The evidence was turned over to PNP Crime Lab 7 for proper examination.  (FREEMAN)
