CEBU, Philippines -  Police arrested another suspected drug pusher in sitio Dita, Barangay Pulangbato last Tuesday afternoon.

Larry Codoy, 48, allegedly a level three drug pusher, was arrested with 12 packs of shabu which have a street value of P60,000.

City Intelligence Branch (CIB) chief Romeo Santander said Codoy reportedly sold shabu with a certain Rodelio Miñoza, who eluded law enforcers last week as they implemented a search warrant against him.

Agents of the National Bureau of the Investigation also tried but failed to arrest Miñoza, who reportedly operates a ‘shabu tiange’ in Pulangbato.

“Kani si Codoy, tawo ni siya ni Delio (Miñoza), nga usa sa five personalities na involve sa drugas dihang dapita,” Santander told reporters yesterday.

Santander further disclosed that they now have knowledge how the drug personalities allegedly gets the supply of the shabu from Luzon.

During the buy-bust operation at 4 pm last Tuesday, Codoy sold a pack of shabu to elements of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) who posed as poseur-buyers.

The suspect further yielded 11 other packs of shabu during the arrest, said CAIDSOTG chief Eunil Avergonzado.

Avergonzado said Codoy, being a level three drug pusher, can dispose at least 30 grams of shabu in a week. This was learned after placing the suspect under two-week surveillance, he said.

The CAIDSOTG chief said they are also working on the arrest of drug pushers whom they have identified in A. Lopez St., Barangays Pasil, Kamagayan, and Basak-San Nicolas, which are also drug-prone areas, he said.— (FREEMAN)
