Man in sex video passes lie test
CEBU, Philippines - Based on the polygraph test result, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-7 eliminated from the list of suspects the former boyfriend and partner of a university student in the controversial sex video that became viral on the internet.
Rey Villordon, agent on case, said the man on the video passed the lie detector test.
“The result revealed that there were no specific reactions, indicative deception to the pertinent questions relevant to the instant investigation,†the report read.
Villordon said based on the test conducted, the man was telling the truth that he did not upload the video on the Internet.
However, Villordon said that though the man was no longer in the roll of suspects, he is still included in the investigation.
As of the moment, Villordon said they are still locating the Internet Protocol (IP) address where the video was uploaded.
Aside from that, Villordon said their office is set to subpoena friends of the man on the video who were with him during a drinking session two years ago where he lost his cellular phone.
Lawyer Chevrolie Maglasang, counsel of the man said they were happy and satisfied with the result of the test.
“We are consistent all along that our client was not the one who uploaded the video on the Internet neither did he have any knowledge who the uploader is, connived or conspired with the uploader. We hope that this (result) can erase the doubts of the public that he participated in the uploading,†she added.
Maglasang said as of the moment her client was in Manila having his apprentice after he graduated BS Marine last March 22.
Villordon said the girl in the video and her parents closely coordinating with them but they are yet to be informed of the result of the lie detector test.
Also yesterday, Maglasang filed the sworn statement of her client stating that he lost his cellphone and that the video was taken with their mutual consent and was supposedly for their own consumption. — (FREEMAN)
