Violence kills 2, leaves 1 in critical condition
CEBU, Philippines - Two men were killed while another is in critical condition after they figured in separate violent incidents last Friday.
Eddie Bobo, 63, was shot dead by Celso Hermosa, 52, in Barangay Casili, Consolacion town. Hermosa is also fighting for his life in the hospital because of a stab wound he sustained in the chest.
The two had an argument while playing a card game called “tong-its†inside a shop where Hermosa works. In the middle of the argument, Bobo ran to his house and returned already armed with a 12-inch long bayonet.
Bobo stabbed Hermosa in the chest but the latter who was also armed with a .357 revolver shot the former at the back.
Bobo was rushed to the Eversly Child Sanitarium Hospital in Mandaue City but did not make it to the hospital.
Hermosa, on the other hand, is now confined at the Vicen-te Sotto Memorial Medical Center and is being guarded by two policemen.
The police are preparing a criminal complaint for homicide against Hermosa.
Meanwhile, Danilo Bucao, 29, died after he was shot by his neighbor, Rendel Rey Puno, 21, in Central Poblacion, Naga City.
Bucao was reportedly sitting along the road at 5 pm last Friday when Puno and an unidentified cohort arrived on a motorcycle and shot the victim at least three times.
Bucao was taken to Minglanilla District Hospital but did not survive.
Puno was surrendered by his father at the Naga City Police Station few hours after the shooting happened. Personal grudge was initially eyed as the motive behind the incident . (FREEMAN)
