2 Korean nationals lose mobile phones to robbers

CEBU, Philippines - Two Korean nationals lost their expensive cellular phones after they were robbed while walking along A.S Fortuna Street in barangay Bakilid,Mandaue City.

The victims were identified as Park Sun Mi,28, and her companion Chon Ri Na ,30, both students of the Cebu International Academy.

Based in the investigation conducted by the Subangdaku Police Station, both victims went out of their dormitory, which is located inside their school, to walk towards a laundry shop just a few meters away from their residence.

On their way home , the two suspects on board a motorcycle approached them. The back rider, who was then armed with a unknown caliber of firearm, declared a hold-up and divested them of their cellular phones. Park Sun Mi lost her Samsung Galaxy 2 while Chon Ri Na lost her iPhone 4.

When the suspects succeeded in divesting the victims of their cellular phones, the back rider fired a single shot at them before they left the place. Luckily, none of the victims were hurt.  (FREEMAN)
