DSWD to award LGUs and media outfits
CEBU, Philippines - Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - 7 will be giving 16 “Salamat Po†awards to its various partners from the government and non-government organizations as well as “Gawad Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan awards†to outstanding local government units and “Gawad Ulat†for media outfits in line with its 62nd anniversary celebration.
Aside from these, Presidential Awards for Child Friendly Cities and Municipalities will also be given out.
DSWD-7, in a statement, is inviting the public to visit and patronize its trade fair showcasing different livelihood products from its Sustainable Livelihood Program projects all over the region.
Trained persons with disabilities from DSWD's Area Vocational Rehabilitation Center II is currently offering rejuvenating hand and foot care as well as body massage services starting Monday until Friday at their regional office lobby at a very minimum rate.
Anchored on the theme “Sama-samang Husay, Tungo sa Tagumpayâ€, DSWD Field Office-7 will hold a special culminating program and awarding ceremony to give special awards to deserving employees who have excelled in their field of work.
The awarding ceremony will be held on January 25 at Sarrosa Hotel, Cebu City.— (FREEMAN)
