Pnoy asks Cebuanos to vote wisely in May

CEBU, Philippines - President Beningo Aquino III reminded voters to choose candidates who are for the betterment of this country.

“Ang election ay isang sangang daan kung saan muling mag desisyon ang taong bayan. Ang tanong, itutuloy ba natin ang pagtahak sa tuwid na daan ng kaunlaran o gusto ba nating mag U-turn pabalik sa kanto ng katiwali-an at kalsada ng kahirapan?,” Aquino said in his speech at the Mandaue Sports and Cultural Complex yesterday.

The event was attended by LP senatoriables Sonny Angara, Ramon Magsaysay, Jr., Risa Hontiveros, Senator Koko Pimentel, Jamby Madrigal and Las Piñas Representative Mark Villar, son of senatorial candidate Cynthia Villar,

Hilario “Junjun” Davide, III, Provincial Chairman of the Liberal Party assured the President of full support. He also promised to work hard for their victory in the 2013 national and local elections.

“We assured you of our strong support. We will work hard for our victory,” said Davide in his opening message.

Hundreds of LP leaders including incumbent and candidates for mayors, vice mayors, city and town councilors, Provincial Board members and congressmen attended the event together with the more than 5,000 supporters.

Aquino proudly announced that in his two years and six months in office, they have achieved so much such as record high at the Stock Exchange and the historic P1 trillion tax collection.

“Ang bawat tagumpay ng pamahalaan, lahat kayo ay bahagi. Ang bawat kasapi ng LP at ating mga kaalyado, kasama kayo lahat sa tagumpay na ito,” Aquino said.He assured that even with their achievement, his administration will continue to work harder.

“Mag tulong-tulong para mapadali. Tulungan natin ang karapat-dapat na malukluk sa pwesto,” he said — (FREEMAN)
