Byron lashes at Habin
CEBU, Philippines - After his threat of massive jailbreak, the younger brother of suspended Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, Byron, is now lashing at Provincial Administrator Eduardo Habin for continuing to work for the Province despite the ongoing tension at the Capitol.
Garcia called Habin “a man without delicadeza†and that he should resign as his position is co-terminus with the suspended governor.
“Kaning mga tawo lagi na gusto mo-hold on sa usa ka position nga gihatag ra pud isip gratis sa usa ka tawo, wa’y utang kabubut-on. Wa ka’y puangod ug ingrata ka,†Byron said.
Habin admitted yesterday in an interview with the media that he was confronted, berated and questioned by Byron regarding his stay in the position.
But Byron clarified that he merely visited Habin last Monday and asked him why he is not supporting Gov. Garcia.
Byron added that he just wanted to know Habin’s explanation why he abandoned the governor despite all the help they extended to him.
“Igsoon gyud ko nga masakitan, kay I was there kung gi-unsa siya pag-agak ni Gwen and ni Daddy (Pablo Garcia) bisan retired na siya,†Byron said.
Habin’s services have been extended for two terms already and he has been serving the Province of Cebu for almost 32 years now.
Habin said even if Byron berated him, he will not make an issue out of it.
“Moserbisyo ko. I want to serve the Province of Cebu,†Habin said, adding that he was just doing his job as the provincial administrator. Acting Governor Agnes Magpale deployed two security personnel to secure Habin.
Habin said he did not request for bodyguards and it was Magpale’s decision to give him.
He has been transferred from the executive building to the legislative building where Magpale holds office.
Byron also criticized South District Rep. Tomas Osmeña for questioning his participation in the Capitol controversy.
“Ug nakalimot na siya, ako ang nag-unang pinalangga na igsuon ni Governor Gwen. Moari gyud ko kay modupa gyud ko sa gobernador.†— (FREEMAN)
