CEBU, Philippines - Three Koreans lost their cash and valuables to two hold-uppers while they were busy playing golf in Barangay Lamintak in the town of Medellin yesterday morning.
Police identified the victims as Shin Hyung Sek, Lee In Hak, and Shen Sung Hak, who are all legally aged and temporarily residing in the said place.
Of the three men who robbed them, one was already identified.
PO2 Edre Ortega of Medellin Police Station said the victims were playing golf at Queen’s Island Golf and Hotel at past 6 am yesterday when three men suddenly approached them.
Investigation showed that the robbers cut the interlink wire that fenced the golf area.
The robbers then went near the victims and declared a hold-up at a gunpoint, police said.
The robbers took the victims’ clutch bags which were placed on their sides including their wallets which contained more or less P10,000.
The robbers went outside using the same entry point and escaped while the victims reported the incident to the police.
Further investigation resulted to the identification of one of the suspects as Alimar Dela Rama of Barangay Don Virgilio Gonzales, also of the said town.
Police are now in a hot pursuit operation for the arrest of Dela Rama and his cohorts. — (FREEMAN)
