CEBU, Philippines - More than 60 domestic and two international flights were cancelled as well as 54 vessels were not given clearance to travel as Cebu was not spared from the rains and winds of Typhoon Pablo.
Mactan Cebu International Airport reported that 26 domestic flights of Cebu Pacific bound for various parts of the Visayas and Mindanao were cancelled.
MCIA added that 32 domestic flights of Airphil Express and two international flights were likewise cancelled as well as four flights of Sea Air.
As of 6:00 last night, however, no flights from Philippine Airlines and Zest Air were reported cancelled.
The two international flights cancelled were for Hongkong.
Cebu Pacific officials said that the 24 flights cancelled included the 12 coming in and 12 flying out of the Mactan airport for different cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Airphil Express also reported that they cancelled their 32 domestic flights.
Mostly of those affected were flights bound for cities of Pagadian, Iloilo,Surigao, Zamboanga, Punta Princesa, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Davao,Butuan and Caticlan.
Cebu Coast Guard Station also did not grant 54 clearances for vessels to travel because Southern Cebu was put under signal number 3 and signal number two for the rest of the island province.
