Ex-LP stalwart campaigns vs Davide
CEBU, Philippines - Former Provincial Board member Carmiano Kintanar of the second district is now strongly campaigning for One Cebu candidates in the 2013 elections against his fellow Argawanon.
Kintanar used to be opponent of One Cebu officials but he joined the group after he was left out by the entry of new members to the Liberal Party.
In 2010 election, the Kintanars were among the strong leaders of LP in the second district although he lost his bid for PB seat. He is running again for a PB seat next year with Boljoon Mayor Teresita Celis as his partner under One Cebu.
In sorties in different towns in the second district composed of 15 municipalities, Kintanar aired out his frustration against LP headed by Hilario Davide III who hails from Argao, their hometown.
“Nitabang ko pag-agni sa uban nga anaa sa pikas, ako naman hinoon ang gisikaran,” Kinatanar said over his frustration to LP which he worked hard in 2010 election. (I worked hard to convince others to join LP but in the end I was the one who was kicked out.)
Kintanar said he was barred from running in 2013 elections under LP because a lot of them from Argao were running for elective positions.

Kintanar is the only candidate for PB in the second district who comes from Argao while LP picked incumbent Board Member Peter John Calderon and Dumanjug Vice Mayor Christopher Baricuatro.
Caminero and Calderon used to be members of One Cebu but shifted to LP following Vice Governor Agnes Magpale of Barug Alang sa Kauswagan ug Demokrasya (Bakud) which forged alliance with LP.
Kintanar, a former mayor of Argao, said he thanked the Garcias for inviting him to join the party as he is interested of getting back the seat which he used to serve in 2004 for three years in the PB. –JPM (FREEMAN)
