CEBU, Philippines - A Korean National and three others face charges before the Lapu-Lapu City Prosecutor’s Office for allegedly attempting to kill two Koreans on October 31, 2012 in Lapu-Lapu City.
The complaints for frustrated murder were filed early yesterday by Jong Ha Bok and Lee Dong Gun against Kim Jae Hyung a.k.a. Kevin Kim, Rodenio Espiritu, a certain Boy Booc and unidentified gunman who were behind the ambush on October 31, 2012.
The respondents are all at large.
The complainants said they were ambushed by the respondents on October 31, 2012 in front of a subdivision in Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.
In their complaint, Bok and Gun accused Hyung as the mastermind of the ambush.
Based on reports, Espiritu, a resident of Barangay Pusok, was seen in a recorded video in the subdivision.
Hyung was a resident of South Korea. He rented a unit in the subdivision where Bok and Gun live.
On October 31, 2012 at about 8:00 in the morning, the complainants said they were leaving the subdivision when they were ambushed.
Reportedly, the security guard of the subdivision fired at the respondents. The respondents then fled using a motorcycle.
The complainants were injured and their vehicle was damaged.
The police believe this to be a “business-related conflict.” The complainants are businessman. – (FREEMAN)
