CEBU, Philippines - Police are set to arrest two men who burglarized an establishment selling gadgets at Sanciangko St. corner Leon Kilat St., Cebu City recently.
Witnesses pointed at certain Abno Garcia and Obet Sitoy as the two who forcibly entered inside Sucio Marketing and robbed gadgets amounting to at least P100,000.
Among the missing items were two Central Processing Units (CPUs), computer monitor, iPods, speakers, headsets, and slippers, among others.
Ocular investigation conducted by the police show that the suspects, both residents of Borromeo St., Barangay Pahina Central, were able to get inside Suico Marketing by using the abandoned building at the back of the establishment.
From the building, they went to Sucio’s roof where they slightly detached the GI sheets to enter the second floor.
When the two reached the second floor, they cut and bent the iron grill that served as the door to the ground floor, where they took the loot, the report further showed.
Prior to the burglary, witnesses, whose name are being withheld for security reasons, saw the two men standing near the building covered with sweat and dirt in the different parts of their body. That was around 12 a.m. last Wednesday.
Later, they saw the robbers calling for a trisikad driver and then carried some CPUs, computer monitor, and other items placed inside a white sack to the waiting trisikad.
Last Thursday afternoon, police were able to trace the suspects’ location and recovered the CPUs, the computer monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. The suspects, however, were not around.
Investigation further showed that the fleeing suspects have already disposed of some of the items by Thursday dawn.
Police are now preparing charges against the suspects while conducting hot pursuit operation against them. — (FREEMAN)
