Philstar.com app now available on iPhone

MANILA, Philippines — Philstar.com, the online portal of the STAR Group of Publications, is now also available on iPhone with the launch of its universal iOS application today.

With the upgrade of Philstar.com news application, its readers with iPhones who are always on-the-go can now get news updates wherever they are.

“For people who want to be updated on what’s happening around, we are launching an iPAD application for iPhones. If you are a news addict and always on the move, this is the news application for you,” said Philstar.com.

Philstar.com initially launched its news application on iPad, where readers are given easy access to a news portal of the STAR Group of Publications. It gives the readers access to breaking news, in-depth stories from The Philippine Star, Pilipino Star Ngayon, Freeman, Banat and People’s Asia.

The free news application, which was initially launched on June 12, now has hundreds of downloads.

News content in this application can be shared via email, Twitter and Facebook and can be filtered to whatever section (Headlines, Nation, Metro, Opinion, Lifestyle Sports, Business and Entertainment) the reader prefer to go.

Its content can also be saved and read later, its font customizable and readers can also search through www.philstar.com.
