CEBU, Philippines - Some parts of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) will undergo maintenance from July 19 to 29 this year.
“The VSMMC Infection Control Committee will conduct its annual routine preventive maintenance, scrubbing and cleaning together with the post culture in the Delivery and Labor Room, Ward 1, Ward 11 and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit July 19-29, 2012,” the hospital said in an official advisory.
Because of the maintenance, the hospital will not be accepting obstetrics cases within these dates. Patients can be referred to the St. Anthony Mother and Child and Talisay District Hospital for patients from the southern part of Cebu and the Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital for patients coming from the northern part of Cebu.
“Please bear with us with this slight inconvenience. This is to provide the public a safe and clean hospital environment,” said Gerardo Aquino Jr., Medical Center Chief 1.
VSMMC will start admitting emergency cases only and direct to DR starting July 16 in order to give time for the social workers to discharge the remaining patients. (FREEMAN)
